Thanksgiving, cupcakes, christmas tree, and a cool date

We actually have lots to talk about this week. First, we love to say Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all the Yankees. This year I made Blake Thanksgiving dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables and yummy vegetarian gravy. I also baked cupcakes for a charity bake sale at Blake's work. We raised about 45 dollars ourselves.

The next day, Blake and I put up our Christmas tree. We found our reindeer antlers that we bought three years ago, and tried to get Jake wear them but it was hard to get a picture.

Last night, Blake and I went to the animation show at the Vancity. (Earlier that day, Blake played Dungeons and Dragons with his friends and I went out to breakfast with my dad and then had a fun afternoon with my mom shopping for Christmas).

The Animation show had lots of good films, but had a few bad ones as well. Generally the show was good and entertaining. Blake and I always love it because they are independent films. This year there were about 25 short films ranging from 30 seconds to 10 minutes.

After the show, Blake and I went to one of our favorite restaurants "the locus" on main street. I think they have the best veggie burger in town (if you like peppers).

It was a great end to a great day!

Bleu got a rain jacket.

We got a jacket for Bleu today. He has been really cold at night when we go on our walks especially when it rains. So I bought a rain jacket with a fleece liner. The Jacket even has some reflectors, which is good because he's Black. The jacket will for sure keep him dry and warm. Jake ,in the other hand, doesn't need a jacket because his coat is suitable for the icy rainy weather.

Nothing new but some funny pictures

Life has been boring. Nothing really exciting besides Blake working and me studying during the weekdays and then working on a film on the weekend. Last Friday we went to the EA awards at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre downtown Vancouver. I'll try to get some photos and post them in the next week. The reason for this post is while I was studying I was looking at images of dogs and cats breeds and found these amusing pictures. Here is a English Mastiff with his owner

Here are three giant schnauzer dogs looking out the window

This one is a Great Dane taking a snooze on a love seat.

Here is a Turkish Van longhair cat in a sink. I read that this is one of the few cats that loves to play in the water and will join you in the tub for a dip or help you in the sink and are know as "the swimming cat from Turkey."

This picture was shown on a lot of t.v shows but actually this is a Maine Coon cat and is the largest cat breed. So it is actually normal for them to get his big.

Halloween Party

Happy Halloween!!! Blake and I celebrated Halloween by having a party at our house. We decorated our house with spider web and a some other cool decorations. We dressed up Jake as a clown and Bleu as a skeleton. We dressed ourselves as Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf. For the party, we also asked people to donate food for the Vancouver Food Bank. Our friends did well and we filled a whole bag full of food. The winner of whoever brought the most food got to choice of a DVD or a Dunny toy. We even had a contest of the best Costume. It was a good time and can't wait for our annual Christmas party which seems to be a hit.

Thanks everyone again for donating food for the food bank
