Fright Night at Playland

Last night, Blake and I went to Fright Night at Playland. It was lots of fun and both of us screamed a couple of times. (sorry the picture are not the greatest, we didn't take the good camera) There was five haunting houses which all were really good. They had fire dancers, creepy displays all around, and a show with evil clowns. We even went on a couple of rides for free. It was a great night and I'm glad Blake finally got to experience fright night.

One more note, It's been three years today that Blake and I have been seeing each other. So after my volunteering, I think we'll do something small to celebrate.

Final Decision

I have made my final decision. I decided to to to the veterinary assistant program in January. It was a long hard decision but I think in the long run this is a better choice for me. Don't worry though, I have not given up on my art and animation. Here is a link to the school Granville Business College

Purr-casso Art show 2008

Last year, I did a painting for the Purr-casso Art show which is put on by the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society in California. They asked me again this year to do another one. Blake also decided to do something this year for the art show. It was the fist time they allow canine art into the show so Blake and I decided to do something with our boys. I painted Jake and Blake took a beautiful photograph of Bleu. I hope whoever buys the artwork enjoys them.

On another note, I'm in the middle of making a big decision. I got accepted into the Veterinary assistant program for January. However, a studio in Vancouver offered a job for February. I am not sure what to do but will make my final decision for Monday. I think I'm leaning towards Veterinary assistant program but I will let you guys know which one I decide. It's Friday, so I hope everyone has a great weekeend :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Even though our long weekend isn't done yet it's going pretty well. Saturday, our car battery died so we had to get a new one from Canadian Tire. After my parents helped with our car we headed to the mall got some lunch and after bought Mario Kart for the Wii. The game is really fun!!

Yesterday, we started our day with brunch at ABC Country Restaurant with my parents and sister. For once, I didn't do the buffet and ate a yummy veggie Burger with delicious yam fries. Of coarse, Blake got the buffet because he wanted the mini doughnuts. After Brunch my parents came over and we went to the dog park. It was lots of fun, we threw the Frisbee and played soccer with a ball we found. The boys are very tired today from all that running around. I think my parents really enjoyed themselves. After the park my parents left and I started making a turkey-less Turkey dinner for Blake and my sister. Basically, we had stuffing, vegetables and veggie gravy. It was my first time making stuffing from scratch but it turned out really good, however made enough to feed an army. I think my mom would be proud of my skills in the stuffing department. We ate and drank some wine and after dinner played some Mario Kart.

Jen went home around 10ish so when I came out of the shower I see Blake and Bleu doing this. So cute!!! I guess they worked really hard today.

In an earlier post I mentioned we bought the game I worked on. Well we finally played enough to see my scene. It was pretty cool. The game itself has some things that were kinda annoying but in all an o.k game. Here is some still image from my sequence.

On the weekend, I bought a Shedder blade for Jake because he has been shedding a lot lately. It's great because It makes Jake coat very shinny and nice and less hair on the carpet.

It's rainy cold and dark today, so I think we are all hanging out and relaxing for he rest of the long weekend. On another note I was looking up some stuff about the Jack-a-poo and found this pic. Doesn't it look like Bleu a lot?

My Game Came Out

Yesterday, the game I worked on came out. It's called Crash: Mind over Mutant. It comes out on x-box, Wii and PlayStation 2. We hope to pick it up this week sometime and see where my scenes are. I'll talk about it more when we buy it.

Also, I volunteered yesterday at the BCSPCA. My legs are sore because I walked fast up and down large hills for over two hours. However I really enjoyed my time. (the dogs were better walkers then Jake and Bleu but I still love my boys)

Update

Not much is going on at the moment. We started immigration papers for Blake for his permanent resident. We pretty much have to write out our life story therefore will take time to finish them up.

Friday night Blake and I got new jackets for the rain season. Blake's jacket is bright blue and black with some cool designs and mine is the basic gray but fits really nice on me. Saturday, we walked down Main Street. We stopped by Voltage and Blake got a really cool new hoody. It's reversible so he can wear either design on any day.

After Voltage we continued our walk down Main street and at at a Restaurant called Foundation. It's a restaurant catered to Vegans, so we thought it would be our style. Man we were wrong. The service was horrible and the place it self was uncomfortable. The table made us feel so apart from each other and we didn't feel comfortable. The food was o.k but not worth going back. ( Well Blake really enjoyed his chili but was not impress that it took almost an hour to get our food) I don't think we will go back there again. After a great dinner experience it started to rain really hard so Blake and I had to walk 30 blocks back the car. We were really soaked.

Today, I went to my orientation at the BCSPCA to become a dog walker at the shelter. It was fun and I got to walk a very cute dog that look like Jake (except he didn't pull like Jake) I can't ever post pictures of the dogs that I walk and care for at the shelter due to policy. Which I understand they don't want angry people who got there animal seized finding out where the dog is located or who works with the dog. It makes employees and volunteers safer at the BCSPCA. I learned some new facts about dogs and some tricks on dealing with trouble ones.
