It has been awhile since we post but I just wanted to say Happy Anniversary. Blake and I have been married for 6 months. Six months ago Blake and I were getting our groove on, living some of our greatest moments. Blake bought me some flowers and we went out for lunch. It was a pleasant day.

2008 in Review

Hi!! 2008 is finally coming to end and what a roller coaster it has been. 2008 has been way more eventful then 2007. If we had to describe 2008 in one world I think "change" would suit it.

Blake and I had several memorable events and some disappointments throughout this year. We started the year by falling asleep before midnight (yes we are nerds). January, Blake and I officially become vegetarians. In late January, I went to Victoria with Erin. Eating and Shopping would sum up the trip. Blake stayed home with the boys and played video games and ate stir-fry all weekend. February, I entered a bumper contest with a friend for Mytoons and was in the top 10 bumpers. The Spring was a disappointing time for me, because I seemed to almost get work and at the last moment would be cancelled. (It seemed like that all of the year). In March we moved into the basement suite in the house and had to put a lot of work into it. In May, I finally got my first contract work for the year, working on "Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant". We went to Washington State and even got in a car accident . In June, Blake and I helped at the first annual breath of animation festival in Ladner. Also in June, I had my wedding shower at Erin's parents house. June was also a stressful month because Blake's contract was ending and we were not sure if he was getting full time. We weren't sure if we were going to stay in Vancouver or have to move back to the states after the wedding. A couple weeks before his contract ended we got the great news of Blake getting full time. I even got another contract job until September. In July, Blake and I both lost a bit of weight. Blake and I both lost 25 pounds each. We also saw the best movie of 2008 Wall-e. On July 25th around 4:30, Blake and I got married. The wedding turned out great!!!!! It was the best moment of 2008!!!!! I saw my grandmother and uncle first time since 1998 and met Blake's aunt and cousin for the first time. It was also the fist time Blake's parents came up in the summer. Couple days later, Blake went to Victoria for the fist time. He really enjoyed the city and all the bookstores. Later that week, Blake and I went to our honeymoon to Harrison Hot spring. We had a relaxing trip. After the wedding my friend gave birth to adorable little girl named Annabelle Maeve Whitehead. In September, I went back to VanArts to take the 3D animation program but sadly it didn't work out so I had to drop out at the end of September. However, turned out to be a good thing because I rediscovered myself. I started volunteering at the BCSPCA shelter downtown and reconnected with a love of animals. I made a huge decision and is going to become a Veterinary Assistant. In January, I will be attending Granville Business College for five month course. However, I am not giving up on my art, just going to have two careers. The fall was full of historical events, Blake and I watched the first black man be voted into office. We watched the Canadian government almost crumble. We watched our world slip into recession. In December we celebrated our oldest dog, Jake's, fifth birthday. This Christmas was the first ,hopefully the last, Christmas that Blake and his parents didn't celebrate together. We also experienced some of the worst weather conditions snow snow snow!!!! We end the year by going to the the main for some drinks and food.

It has been a roller coaster of a year and we are looking forward to 2009. Happy News Year
