Movies, Movies and Movies

Saturday, Blake and I, watched a lot of movies. We saw Igor in theatre. It is a animated fable about a cliché hunchbacked evil scientist's assistant who aspires to become a scientist himself, much to the displeasure of the rest of the evil science community. It was an independent movie therefore it was no Pixar or Dreamworks movie. However, I did enjoy it. They style was cool and the scamper and Brian characters were very funny. Blake did not enjoy the lighting until the sunshine came out but he liked the movie.

The second movie was Barnyard. It was about when the farmer's away, all the animals play ... and sing, and dance. Eventually, though, someone has to step in and run things, a responsibility that ends up going to Otis (James), a carefree cow. It was o.k. Better than we thought it was going to be. However the cow's utters kinda bothered us. I think what made this movie was the gags.

The last movie we saw was Valiant. The animated comedy tells the story of a lowly wood pigeon named Valiant, who overcomes his small size to become a hero in Great Britain's Royal Air Force Homing Pigeon Service during World War II. The RHPS advanced the Allied cause by flying vital messages about enemy movements across the English Channel, whilst evading brutal attacks by the enemy's Falcon Brigade. Sadly I fell a sleep before it ended so I don't know what happen at the end but Blake thought it was good.

Happy two Months!!!!!!

Just a quick post. It's our two month wedding anniversary today. I can't believe its been two months. Sadly, we can't do anything really special because I get home late and then I have homework. We are hopefully going to see Igor this weekend and that will be our special anniversary date. I have to say July 25th was one of the best days of our lives and the love between us is even more greater since that day. I know for a fact that I did stole the best man in the world. I love you Blake Standard and thank you for being the best. I can't wait for many more years with you.

Glasses, toys and movies. Oh my!

So, not too much is going on in our lives. Saturday, I got new glasses. So I can finally see now. (The picture below are the ones I have but minus the pink. It's clear instead. They are pretty stylish and cool.

While waiting for my glasses being made we stepped in Hallmark and saw these awesome ornaments.

We are trying to cut down on buying stuff but we couldn't resist but now we have this year's Christmas ornaments. The Jack one has the date on the bottom which is very important to having a ornament for each year. I can't wait until Christmas and put them on the tree.
That night, we hanged out with mom at Boston Pizza for her birthday that was on last Thursday. Happy Birthday!!!!!
We also watched Aristocats (Had to watch for homework), I couldn't remember what it was about but as I watched I remembered a lot more. It was very enjoyable.

Besides Saturday events, nothing else really happened besides me being super busy and Blake having a great time being the houseman and playing Xbox. Until next time, take care :)

BCSPCA Paws For A Cause

Today, Blake and I attended the BCSPCA Paws for a Cause. We raised close to $400 and next year I think our goal will be $600 We did the walk around Vanier Park and then ate some veggie burgers and let the boys run around the park. It was great fun. I'm pretty happy with the pictures, however, I am still learning how to use the new camera so they aren't perfect yet.
